Overview

Browning Recoil Pad for X-Bolt 2 – 32 mm

Original Browning Recoil Pad for X-Bolt 2 with 32 mm thickness. This factory part (item no. B357960787) is designed to provide effective recoil damping, stable shoulder contact, and a neat, OEM finish on your rifle. The soft rubber compound absorbs shock when firing, while the non-slip surface prevents the stock from wandering on the jacket – in the rain, cold or during quick follow-ups. Perfect as a replacement for a worn back cap or as an upgrade for increased comfort.

  • Effective damping: Comfortable rubber with an energy-dissipating core provides softer, more controlled recoil.
  • Stable system: Non-slip surface holds the flask firmly in the shoulder – even with a smooth rain jacket.
  • OEM Fit: Developed for X-Bolt 2 with the correct radius and screw placement for clean installation.
  • 32 mm thickness: Adds length and contact patch equivalent to the factory standard of many X-Bolt 2 models.

Fits Browning X-Bolt 2 (selected models/stock variants). Please note that individual flask shapes and vintages may vary. Always check your flask type and existing back cap shape/screw spacing before purchase.

Installation – how to do it

  1. Loosen the two screws through the slots in the rubber (a few drops of soapy water on the screwdriver will protect the rubber).
  2. Remove the old back cap and clean the contact surface on the flask.
  3. Place B357960787 so that heel/toe aligns; Tighten the screws evenly firmly.
  4. Check the system and eye relief to the scope and adjust if necessary.

When does a new back shroud provide the most value?

  • Worn/hard back cap: Cracks or hard rubber increase perceived recoil and provide slippage.
  • Quick series: Better grip and damping provide faster re-imaging of the sight image.
  • Comfort on the hunt and track: Less fatigue in the shoulder and more consistent triggering.
